New Kansas Custom Impact Camo Jerseys from adidas

Compiled all the pictures of every view available of the new Kansas adidas camo jerseys that will be used by the Jayhawks in the Big 12 tournament.

Bill Self confirmed the team will wear them during Thursday’s press conference:

“We agreed with Adidas several months ago to sport that uniform as part of their marketing campaign in the Big 12 Tournament. Now, how much we wear them in the Big 12 tournament will probably depend on how we play in them.”

“Kansas tradition and history should be what is promoted for … in our look,” Self said, “and we’ve done that for years, but this is the one game where we will make that exception for Adidas.”

“For a game or two,” Self said, “I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Sometimes you gotta be a team player.”

The most atrocious things I’ve ever seen. Please set them on fire and then dump the remain in the nearest body of water.

The blue camo is ugly, but I could get behind the white for a game or two. At least it’s not neon like Baylor.

So, you would have no problem with KU being viewed as a laughing stock?

      • KUfan

They’re just uniforms and its only a couple games. Calm down. They’re basically legally obliged to wear these because of terms in their contract with Adidas. Just like other teams who’ve had to wear hideous uniforms. People can laugh all they want. All I care about is KU’s performance on the court.

Haha….I’m calm….and I agree, the on court performance is the most important thing. I’d just prefer that our team be viewed in a respectful way. Also, it was my understanding that the team had already fulfilled it’s terms of the contract by wearing the previous hideous uniforms. But, I guess Coach Self has spoken and we’re stuck with it!

Kansas is not Maryland or Baylor or Oregon. The Jayhawk brand does not need a gimmick. And that’s all that these uniforms are. I’m truly saddened that such a great program has allowed themselves to become a sideshow. I’d much rather see the throwback 1988 or all red uniforms. That being said whatever they wear I’ll be watching.
