Kansas Football releases new helmet designs

Coach Charlie Weis tweeted this Vine video of the new KU football uniform design:

Earlier today, Charlie Weis and his son began tweeting about a new look coming to KU Football. Fans began speculating on what would be announced on Twitter and various message boards.

The video features the following looks:

• Red helmet with the 1941 “Fighting Jayhawk”
• Black matte helmets that were worn last year versus Iowa State
• The powder blue throwbacks that were worn a few years ago versus Texas Tech
• White helmet with the modern Jayhawk
• Blue helmet with the modern Jayhawk

Keon Stowers noted on Twitter that the football team will not wear a uniform combination twice this season.
