Aqib Talib leads Patriots with two interceptions

On Thursday night, former Kansas Jayhawk Aqib Talib picked off two passes from Geno Smith.

Talib’s first interception came early in the fourth quarter as the New York Jets were threatening to score.

His second interception, which sealed the victory for the New England Patriots, sparked a bit of controversy. A Jets player went for Talib’s feet with a late hit, which led to some ejections.

This marks the second straight week a Jayhawk performed well on Thursday Night Football.

Last Thursday, Chris Harris Jr. snagged an interception in the Broncos win against the Ravens in the first NFL game of the season. Following this trend, perhaps Bradley McDougald will get an interception in next week’s Thursday Night Football game.
