Xavier Henry signs one-year contract with the Lakers

Yet another Jayhawk has signed with his former team as Xavier Henry signed a one-year, $1 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

Henry averaged 10 points in 43 games for the Lakers last year before tearing a ligament in his left wrist, which ended his season in April. He started five games for Los Angeles last year and averaged 21.1 minutes per game, the most by far in his four-year career.

In the 2013-14 season, Henry set career highs in minutes played, field goal percentage, points per game (10.0), rebounds per game (2.7) and assists per game (1.2).

The Lakers are the third team Henry has played for since he was drafted 12th overall by Memphis in 2010. Henry, 23, spent the next two seasons with New Orleans.

Henry is the last Jayhawk free agent to sign this offseason.
