Andrew White III announces his transfer to Nebraska

On Monday afternoon, Andrew White III announced his transfer to the University of Nebraska via Twitter.

“I am really excited to add Andrew to our program. I believe he can be an impact guy for us. He has pro potential and reminds me of Paul Pierce,” head coach Tim Miles said on Monday. “Andrew has been involved in the elite levels of high school, AAU, and college basketball, and that will continue with the Huskers.”

White announced he was leaving Kansas on May 8th after playing just 6.3 minutes per game, 2.3 points per game and 1.2 rebounds per game.

“I think this staff was the most personally invested in my success,” said White. “There was a comfort level with the coaches and players, and I just think they believe in my ability to play ball.”

White will have to sit out next season but has two years of eligibility left.
