It’s going to be a great year in Lawrence!
The two exhibition games are in the books and the Jayhawks have had their final regular season tune-ups. The real deal begins on Friday, but Ryan Landreth, Daniel Cunningham, and Joshua Brisco, on the show for the first time since August, break down all of the action from the two practice games. 85 fouls in 80 minutes? Can we expect the entire season to be like this, or are we going to have to suffer through the most irritating officiating year yet? Also, what in the world is going on with Cheick Diallo? Will we see him in a Kansas uniform at all this year?
We then go into preview mode, blowing through 40 over/under “prop” bets in a lightning-style round. The focus is on the 2015-16 season, and what we think will happen over the course of the season.
New this season: “Ask RCB”, a new segment that gives you, the listener, the opportunity to engage with cohosts. Each show, we’ll take several fan-submitted topics and spend a short amount of time discussing each. If you have any topic, whether it’s basketball related or just nonsense, that you want to hear us talk about, let us know on Twitter or use the hashtag #AskRCB!
We conclude our show by previewing Kansas’ first game of the season, a Friday night tilt with Northern Colorado. KU has struggled in recent openers, failing to cover the spread in the first game of the year since 2011. Will this be the year when the Jayhawks finally start their season with a big bang, or will they leave unanswered questions heading into their top 15 matchup next week with the Michigan State Spartans?
