Things didn’t get better for the Jayhawks of Kansas, who lost to Arizona State at Allen Fieldhouse on Sunday.

For the first time in the Inside the Paint podcast era (and four calendar years), the Jayhawks lost back-to-back games this week. After falling to Arizona State in a rare Allen Fieldhouse loss, serious questions are emerging about Kansas’ depth, defense, and toughness. It was an ugly defensive show against the Sun Devils, who exploited KU and left us with reason to be concerned.

We still think KU is the favorite to win the Big 12, but things around the conference are looking tougher by the week. Even though we have to wait a full week to get the bad taste out of our mouths, we’re optimistic the Jayhawks can turn around their month by taking on the Nebraska Cornhuskers in their first road game of the season. We preview and break down Saturday’s contest.
