ITP: Trouble in Lawrence? Texas Tech thumps KU at Phog Allen

Another home loss sheds some serious concern on the Jayhawks, and fans are concerned about their chances to win 14 Straight after losing to Texas Tech.

There are plenty of things to discuss about the Kansas Jayhawks, who dropped Tuesday’s conference home opener to the Red Raiders of Texas Tech. It was the worst home loss of the Self era, prompting fans everywhere to push that panic button as the Jayhawks find themselves in an unfamiliar position early in the Big 12 race. We go through every facet of the loss and discuss if it really is time to panic, or if it’s just an early-season swoon that KU will ultimately come out of.

The Big 12 is so loaded with top-15 teams, it’s not helping the fanbase settle down about their chances to win the conference yet again. After assessing that, we preview what could be considered the most important game of the year for the Jayhawks: a road test at TCU that will go a long way in determining their fate in the conference race.
