It helped that K-State’s best two players were out, but the Jayhawks cruised past the Wildcats in another Sunflower Showdown installment to advance to Saturday’s championship game. By beating Kansas State, KU advanced to its 9th title game in Bill Self’s 15-year tenure, which is as remarkable as his overall record against the Wildcats.

One more game against a league opponent remains for the Jayhawks, and it’s a third battle with the West Virginia Mountaineers. Without Udoka Azubuike, it won’t be easy for Kansas to grab the tournament title, but if you’ve made it this far, why not win the whole thing?
