The football program holds a record of 12-72 during Zenger’s tenure at Kansas.
Mesa Ribordy and Charles Baldwin highlight players leaving the program
Starting center and offensive anchor Mesa Ribordy has left the program. Reportedly, Ribordy has decided to retire due to multiple concussions. While his health is the number one concern, losing him is critical to an offensive line that struggled without his presence in 2017. Defensive end Isaiah Bean, cornerback Shola Ayinde and safety Ian Pederson were also missing from the 2018 spring roster.
One of the more disappointing sagas for Kansas football is that of Charles Baldwin. The Alabama transfer was a five-star lineman out of junior college. However, after seeing no playing time in 2017, Baldwin disappeared from depth charts in October. Beaty announced at his opening spring press conference that Baldwin would be seeking a graduate transfer opportunity this summer. Effectively, Baldwin’s Kansas career ended before it ever started.
Pro Days and the NFL Combine
Dorance Armstrong projects to be the highest draft pick for KU since Aqib Talib in 2008.
