For the first time since 2015, Kentucky beat Kansas in a basketball game. The Jayhawks’ three-game winning streak against the Wildcats ended abruptly behind a poor offensive showing on Saturday. While there isn’t much to be discouraged about from the result itself, it’s time to wonder if some of KU’s biggest problems are ever going to resolve themselves. Reinforcements may be coming, but there are some flaws with this team, and we have mixed opinions on whether or not they can be rectified.

The Big 12 did pull out a victory in the conference’s annual challenge with the SEC, so we break down each of those games and talk about the challenges that lie ahead for the Jayhawks. Up next for Kansas is a big road game at Texas, as KU has the opportunity to turn around its road fortune and hold serve on first place in the league. These are the sort of games that are going to make or break 15 straight. Will the Jayhawks pull off the win and defeat Shaka Smart for the 8th time in a row?
