Jayhawks in the NFL: Johnson and Talib shine in week 4
Another big week for the Jayhawks in the NFL!
The Broncos, arguably the best team in the NFL right now, has been phenomenal on defense and special teams. Chris Harris Jr has been mentioned on this blog a couple times for his interceptions this season.
This week, Steven Johnson blocked an Eagles’ punt and returned it for a touchdown:
Johnson is an incredible story. He walked-on the team at Kansas and he was an undrafted free agent (like Chris Harris). And get this, he didn’t even crack the starting lineup until his senior year of his high school career.
Read more about his story here because he’s overcome everything thrown at him. And even though the game was completely out of reach when Johnson did it, it was an incredible play.
It was the first blocked punt returned for a touchdown by a Bronco since 2000.
In the Sunday night game, the Patriots took on the Atlanta Falcons and Aqib Talib picked up a huge interception for New England.

The Boston Globe even had a debate about if Aqib Talib is the team’s MVP or not. The Patriots and Patriots fans love Talib.
Talib seemed pretty pleased with himself after the interception.
