Joel Embiid starting against Florida
Joel Embiid is starting for Kansas against the No. 19 Florida Gators tonight. Embiid, who is averaging 9 points and six rebounds over 19 minutes per game this season, has proven to be an effective center for the Jayhawks this season. Bill Self is now starting four freshmen and a sophomore.
This is the second change Bill Self has made to the starting lineup in as many games, as Frank Mason started the game against Colorado.
Tarik Black, Embiid’s predecessor in the starting role, has struggled staying in games because of foul trouble. Black only played 3 minutes in the loss against Colorado and failed to score.
