Perry Ellis leaves game after bruising nerve in neck
Perry Ellis left the game early in the second half after getting elbowed in the face by Georgetown. Ellis airballed his first free throw after taking the blow and then was subsequently removed from the game and went to the locker room. Ellis, who was 2-for-4 from the floor with 5 points and two rebounds, did not return to the game.
“I’m not a doctor, OK, but if he had a concussion it’s very, very, very slight,” Self said after the game. “What he did is he bruised a nerve in his neck and it’s something that the doctors think he’ll be able to come back from in a very short time.”
