Bill Self addresses Naadir Tharpe photo

Following Andrew Wiggins’ press conference on Monday, Bill Self addressed the media about a viral photo of Naadir Tharpe that gained a lot of attention Sunday night.

“Obviously, we are aware and had it brought to our attention this weekend,” Self said. “Certainly extremely disappointed with what transpired and the judgment that went along with it. To say anything else publicly would be something that would be inappropriate at this time. It will be handled internally. It will be addressed, and it will be handled internally.”

Tharpe, who was suspended for the first game of the 2013-2014 season for playing in an unauthorized summer league game, started 31 of 35 games last year. Tharpe finished the year averaging 8.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, 5 assists and 2.1 turnovers per game.

The photo in question originated on the social media site Reddit and went viral on Twitter on Sunday night.
