David Beaty expected to be named next Kansas football coach
Starting this morning, there were lots of rumors that David Beaty would be named the 38th head football coach at the University of Kansas.
Beaty, 43-years-old, is the current Texas A&M recruiting coordinator and wide receivers coach. Beaty served two seasons under Mark Mangino from 2008-2009 and another season under Turner Gill in 2011.
Beaty arrived late this morning on a private jet and is currently in Lawrence.

He currently makes around $360,000 at Texas A&M. According to multiple sources, Beaty is looking at a five-year contract for $800,000 a year that would reward him based on performance.
An announcement is expected later this afternoon and possibly an appearance at tonight’s Kansas-Florida basketball game.
