Now 13-3 overall and 3-1 in league play, the Jayhawks are right in the thick of another Big 12 race, and Malik Newman is a huge reason why. The sophomore guard exploded for 27 points on Tuesday in KU’s win over Iowa State, which was the type of performance that Jayhawk fans expected on a more regular basis from Newman when he committed to Kansas. Overall, it wasn’t the prettiest win, but there are plenty of things to take away from another win at Allen Fieldhouse.
We’re in the middle of a gaunlet of a conference race, and the Inside the Paint podcast is here to break it all down for you. We also move on to K-State, which comes into Allen Fieldhouse for a date with their in-state rival Jayhawks on Saturday. We preview the game and tell you what to watch for as Kansas goes for a third straight league victory.
