Kansas Football Schedules: 2011 and beyond
The Big 12 Conference released the football schedules for the 2011 and 2012 seasons, as well as all the other odd and even year seasons.
Here is how the schedule will play out for Kansas:
2011 Big 12 Conference Football Schedule: (also other odd years 2013-2015-2017-2019-2021-2023-2025, etc.)
- October 1st – Texas Tech
- October 8th – at Oklahoma State
- October 15th – Oklahoma
- October 22nd – Kansas State
- October 29th – at Texas
- November 5th – at Iowa State
- November 12th – Baylor
- November 19th – at Texas A&M
- November 26th – Missouri in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City

2012 Big 12 Conference Football Schedule (Other even years, too. Ex: 2016-2018-2020-2022-2024-2026, etc.
- Week 1 – at Texas Tech
- Week 2 – Oklahoma State
- Week 3 – at Oklahoma
- Week 4 – at Kansas State
- Week 5 – Texas
- Week 6 – Iowa State
- Week 7 – at Baylor
- Week 8 – Texas A&M
- Week 9 – at Missouri in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City
My immediate reaction is that Kansas has a nice balanced schedule where the only have back to back road games once in the entire schedule (at Texas, at Iowa State in 2011, 2013, etc.). This is nice for obvious reasons. Another thing I noticed is that there aren’t any bye-weeks in Big 12 play in 2011. I’m guessing this is how it’ll always be, but of course, things can change. Kansas-Missouri will always be the last game of the season and so will K-State – Iowa State. This makes it seem like Farmageddon is done.
Another interesting note is that KU will play K-State in Lawrence next season, meaning KSU will play in KU two years in a row.
