Apparently they’re still three-chuckers. Okay, I guess they didn’t change that much.

Cy Greinke
Not collegiate-related, but Zack Greinke was filthy today. Complete game shutout one-hitter. That’s his sixth complete game and third shutout. He also had five strikeouts and gave up one walk. That’s 20 strikeouts and two walks in the past 17 innings pitched. His ERA is now 2.32, which is the most impressive in the majors, as Carpenter’s ERA is deceiving in the National League as he’s pitched 40 less innings than Greinke and well, it’s the NL.
Greinke is the best pitcher in baseball, and it’ll be a travesty if he doesn’t win, especially if it comes down to wins. Despite what people think, he isn’t that far behind C.C. Sabathia for the win leader in the American League. Greinke has 13 and Sabathia has 15.
Greinke is also the first 200-K Royals pitcher since Kevin Appier in 1996.
