Last night, JaQuan Lyle witnessed Kansas win their 10th straight Big 12 title in front of a packed Allen Fieldhouse crowd. Lyle is on his official visit to the Kansas campus after visiting Oklahoma State this past weekend.

So did he enjoy it?

β€œIt’s great, still out here,” Lyle told SNY.tv by text.

Lyle, a 6-foot-5 point guard, most likely wouldn’t sign with the Jayhawks unless Wayne Selden leaves early. KU’s scholarship situation is technically full for next season as Wiggins and Black will be replaced by Kelly Oubre and Cliff Alexander. As you all know, Lyle is friends with Alexander, who has already signed his letter of intent with the Jahawks. Selden and Joel Embiid are the only other players who could consider leaving early for the NBA Draft. If Embiid leaves, Myles Turner could possibly come to Kansas, as well.

Alexander is making a push for Lyle to come to Kansas and even said when he signed that he wants to play with Lyle. He tweeted this on Tuesday afternoon:

Lyle seems to have temporarily deleted his Twitter account, as Alexander noted on Tuesday as well.

JaQuan Lyle would be a great addition to the Jayhawk team next year. Competition always helps a team out and it might help light a fire under Naadir Tharpe. KU would have a lot of depth at the guard position with Tharpe, Frank Mason, Conner Frankamp, Brannen Greene and Lyle.
