Mario Chalmers “comfort level at all-time high”

Mario Chalmers is looking for his third NBA championship in as many years. The Sun Sentinel did a great write up on Chalmers. Check it out:

Mario Chalmers is never one to pass on the opportunity of patting himself on the back.

Never has his brash or confidence been an issue. So leave it to Chalmers to say his comfort level with the Miami Heat is at an all-time high.

Where is he at on a scale of 1 to 10?

“It’s at 1,000,” Chalmers said. “Just being around these guys three or four years, it’s really helped me a lot. I just know where to put the ball where they need it.”

Chalmers continued his recent stretch of strong play in Sunday’s victory against the Chicago Bulls, finishing with 12 points and nine assists. The effort was even more appreciated with forward LeBron James was out of the lineup.

It left more chances for Chalmers to handle the role of playmaker.

“Just trying to be more aggressive, be more of a ball-handle and set up more people like (James) would do,” Chalmers said. “My teammates and coaching staff trust me to do that.”

Chalmers is arguably in the middle of the best season of his six-year career. He is averaging 9.8 points and career-highs in assists (5.1) and field goal percentage (.467). Throw in his team-high 86 steals and it’s easy to see why Chalmers is making a name for himself despite playing on a team with four future Hall of Famers.
