Big 12 Power Poll:
1. Oklahoma State – Previous Week: 1
Result: Win vs. Lamar, 59-3
Another big offensive game from the Cowboys this week. There really wasn’t any question they’d win so it wasn’t exactly a surprise.
Next week: Bye Week
2. Oklahoma – Previous Week: 2
Result: Win vs. Tulsa, 51-20
Probably not as many points as the Sooners wanted to give up but the offense was there.

3. Baylor – Previous Week: 3
Result: Bye
Bye week for the Bears last week. Louisiana Monroe is up next and it should be a breeze for Baylor.

4. Texas Tech – Previous Week: 6
Result: Win vs. TCU, 20-10
Pretty impressive win for the Red Raiders. They’ve emerged as one of the top four teams in the Big 12, which I don’t think anyone really expected. With a brand new coach and quarterback, they’ve certainly impressed me with their performance.
Next week: Texas State (Prediction: Win, 57-14)
5. Kansas State – Previous Week: 7
Result: Win vs. UMass, 37-7
Back to back wins for the Purples after losing to North Dakota State. The Wildcats have the Longhorns next which is good news for KSU fans.
Next week: Texas (Prediction: Win, 34-20)
6. TCU – Previous Week: 4
Result: Loss vs. Texas Tech, 10-20
On a short week, TCU couldn’t handle Texas Tech’s offense. I wasn’t completely surprised by the result but perhaps TCU’s defense isn’t as good as we originally though.

7. West Virginia – Previous Week: 8
Result: Win vs. Georgia State, 41-7
The Mountaineers bounced back after a tough loss to Oklahoma with a dominating win against Georgia State.
Next week: Maryland (Prediction: Win, 27-21)
7. Texas – Previous Week: 5
Result: Loss vs. Ole Miss, 44-23
Another loss for the Longhorns. Another loss could be coming, too, as Kansas State is up next and Texas doesn’t have the best track record against EMAW-nation.
Next week: Kansas State (Prediction:Loss, 34-20)
8. Kansas – Previous Week: 9
One step forward and two steps back… After winning their opening game, Kansas came out and disappointed on the road. The Jayhawks defense performed well, only giving up one defensive touchdown. They held Rice to three field goals. There were a lot of positives but quite a few things to worry about. Weis’ change-up of the depth chart will hopefully help with the offense. Kansas has Louisiana Tech at home next and the Jayhawks will bounce back against an inferior opponent.

10. Iowa State – Previous Week: 10
Result: Loss vs. Iowa, 27-21
The Cyclones failed to beat their in-state rivals. Tough loss for Iowa State.
