Recruit Talk: JaQuan Lyle postpones his visit this weekend

JaQuan Lyle, who was expected to make his visit to Kansas this weekend, has postponed his trip due to a “family situation” according to Adam Zagoria. The family situation is that his mother isn’t able to attend with him to watch the Jayhawks take on K-State.

The Huntington (West Virginia) Prep combo guard is expected to be a package deal with Cliff Alexander but is also considering Oklahoma State, Oregon, West Virginia, Providence and Memphis. Alexander, of course, is already committed to Kansas. Lyle once committed to the University of Louisville.

Lyle is currently a top 40 recruit and a top eight player at his position in the 2014 class. Currently Cliff Alexander and Kelly Oubre Jr. make up KU’s Class of 2014.

Travis Ford, the head coach at Oklahoma State, recently spoke to JaQuan Lyle for the first time. Apparently Ford told Lyle that he’d be a “Marcus Smart-like” player and would have an impact right away for the Cowboys.
