NCAA mock selection: Kansas
Media members are in Indianapolis today to participate in a mock NCAA bracket.
Some interesting notes:
- KU is the first No. 2 seed in their field. That comes out to be the fifth best team in their field, according the S-curve.
- Since 1980, only three teams have gotten a No. 1 seed in the tournament with seven losses in the regular season. Michigan State did it twice (2000 and 2012) and Illinois (2001). Bill Self coached that 2001 team. Self reached the Elite 8 that year.
- No team has ever gotten a No. 1 seed with eight losses.
-
According to @jppalmCBS Kansas has played most difficult schedule in 20 years by a significant margin.
