The Best Apps To Follow The NCAA Tournament
I’m sure most of you spent today watching NCAA tournament basketball all day. I did, too.
I figured I’d let you know some of the best apps I’m using to follow the tournament this year.
1) March Madness Live
This app is available for iOS and most Android devices. You can watch the games and if you’re watching on a tablet, you’re able to view stats while watching. As long as you have a cable provider login, you’re able to watch all the games in their entirety. If you don’t, there’s a daily limit. The video doesn’t lag too far behind the normal feed and if you’re like me and don’t have cable, this app is amazing. If you don’t have a phone or tablet that can run this app, you’re able to watch online here.
Links to download the app here.
2) TwitterÂ
In case you missed it, Twitter is the best way to consume sports news. Especially during the first weekend, Twitter is extremely useful because you may be oblivious to an epic come back if you’re just watching one feed. Most of you already know this, though.
3) Bracket managing appsÂ
If you’re out and about and you have a bunch of brackets on ESPN, CBS, Yahoo, etc,, you’re probably going to want to check your bracket at some point. I sign up with all the major bracket challenges but I prefer ESPN’s bracket managing apps as it gives useful tidbits about bracket trends as games end.
4) TuneIn Radio
In your car and can’t watch the game? Use TuneIn Radio to stream the radio broadcast instead. TuneIn is a great app to have even if you’re not going to use it for sports.
5) Fanzo
I just stumbled upon this app and unlike the others, it’s not as obvious. It recognizes users as experts/super fans of certain teams and aggregates their social posts in one feed. It has links to stories, photos and videos. I’ve been really impressed with it so far.
The app is free and unfortunately, it is only iOS at the moment. You can keep up on all the latest news about the Jayhawks. Download the app here, select Kansas as your favorite team (feel free to pick your other favorite teams, too) and you will get a constant feed of great KU-related posts from various social media sources.
Make sure if you see any of my posts, that you give it a “cheer” (similar to a RT, Favorite or “Like”)!
