Joel Embiid to have surgery on foot
According to his agent, Joel Embiid will have surgery on his foot on Friday
“Joel Embiid suffered a stress fracture to the navicular bone in his right foot,” Arn Tellem said. “He is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow. Joel will be unable to participate in any additional workouts, and will not attend the draft in New York. We will have no further comment until after the surgery.”
Earlier on Thursday, many news sources reported Embiid sustained a foot injury but they weren’t sure if anything was broken.
With the NBA Draft coming up next week, it is very possible that Embiid will fall out of the top three picks. Jabari Parker is now the favorite to go No. 1 overall.
Embiid was scheduled to work out with Milwaukee later this week.
