Jayhawks fall in AP/Coaches poll

The Jayhawks are no longer in the top ten of either major college basketball poll. After being tagged as the No. 5 team in the country in the preseason polls, Kansas dropped a stinker to Kentucky last week in the Champions Classic.

Despite losing to the No. 1 team in the country, apparently the media and coaches weren’t impressed with Kansas and dropped the Jayhawks to No. 11 in the AP poll and No. 12 in the Coaches’ poll. Teams of note that are higher than Kansas include Texas and Wichita State while teams such as Iowa State still remain behind the Jayhawks.

Here’s the AP Poll:

1. Kentucky (5-0, 62 first-place votes)

T-2. Arizona (3-0)
