The Showdown for Relief was fun, and that’s what matters

I was excited when I heard that Kansas and Missouri would be playing each other – even just for an exhibition game. But the result was even more fun than I expected.

On (Almost) Entirely Sports, Joshua Brisco and Scott Chasen discuss their takeaways from Sunday’s game and the viability of more Kansas vs. Missouri action in the future.

It had its detractors, but I have nothing but praise to bestow upon Sunday’s Showdown for Relief.  My takeaways?

It was a fun game with bragging rights on the line, and it gave Kansas and Missouri fans a chance to butt heads all in the name of charity. What is there not to like?

My barometer for the best things in college sports starts with “are we having fun?” I had a blast on Sunday and I saw thousands of Kansas and Missouri fans all around me answer that with a resounding “yes.”
