Post-Game awards: Duke
Duke defeated Kansas on Saturday afternoon, 41-3. Kansas has been outscored 69-13 since going up 24-0 on SEMO last week.
Kansas looked awful of both sides of the ball and there weren’t any clear-cut winners of these awards like last week.
Offensive Player of the Game — De’Andre Mann
Mann takes home the award for a second week in a row. Mann had 65 rushing yards on 12 attempts (5.4 yards per rush) and 36 receiving yards.
Honorable Mentions: Corey Avery and Joe Dineen, Jr.
Defensive Player of the Game
Ben Heeney finished the game with 15 tackles (5 solo) with one tackle for loss. Heeney left the game early with an injury and was really the only Jayhawk who performed up to last week’s standards.
Honorable Mention: Isaiah Johnson
Special Teams Player of the Week
Once again Trevor Pardula takes home the award. I doubt this will change much this season. Pardula had 8 punts, with four punts over 50 yards and averaging 51.8 yards per punt. His longest punt was 72 yards.
Play of the Game
Hard to nominate a play for “Play of the Game” when KU’s best offensive play was a field goal and the defense didn’t make any big stops.
